Karma offers English and Western riding lessons. She offers lessons to riders of all levels from beginner adults and children to competitive show riders. Gentle school horses are available to students who do not have their own horse. She provides a safe and fun learning environment. Lessons are a step-by-step learning process customized to the riders individual goals. Karma’s experience and patient teaching style allows riders to gain confidence while learning at their own pace. She is dedicated to teaching and provides riders with the methods to improve communication with their equine partner.
Lessons are offered year-round in our covered arena. Although several students enjoy competing at local and national shows, Karma recognizes that everyone has different goals. Karma works closely with each student to ensure that the lesson plan supports individual objectives. An encouraging environment makes each lesson a positive experience. Tacking, grooming, safety, and basic care for the horses are an integral part of the lesson program.
“Horses provide riders with more than riding skills, they teach riders respect, responsibility, compassion, a strong work ethic and teamwork.”
Topics covered:
- Ground work – leading and lunging
- Grooming tips
- Balance and rider positioning
- Guiding and speed control
- Mechanics of the horse

Training rides are available for select horses within the training program. Karma uses traditional and modern training methods based on experience and compassion for the horse. Horses learn from consistency and repetition. The training program emphasizes fundamentals and positive reinforcement. Horses are not pushed beyond their physical and mental capabilities. With proven training methods, Karma’s training horses develop into fit and confident equine athletes.
“I have had the privilege of working with some amazing horses. Each of them has taught me something and has helped me grow and advance into the horse person I am today. Never stop learning and stay focused on your goals.”

A lease offers students an opportunity to practice their riding skills and experience a more personal relationship with a horse. For students interested in buying a horse of their own, leasing provides a chance to experience the advantages and responsibilities that come with horse ownership. Care is taken to make the best match possible for each student.
There are several lease options available. Leasing is a great way to experience horse ownership without the expensive purchase price. Lessee will develop an understanding of the commitment and hard work that horses require. Leasing allows riders to practice their riding skills and progress more quickly.

If you are looking for a horse, it is strongly recommended that you hire a professional to guide you through this process. Karma will evaluate your riding level and goals to help you find the perfect equine partner. Karma can also help you market your horse in the appropriate places if you decide to sell.

For riders wanting to show their horses, Karma Huff Training offers three levels of competition:
• Junior Team – allows students to experience schooling shows.
• Senior Team – riders compete at open shows.
• Elite Show Team – for the most competitive riders to compete at breed level shows.
“ I create winning teams while maintaining the integrity of the horse.”
Karma’s students have been very successful in the show ring at every level. She has coached several riders to regional titles, reserve and world championships.
“Come join the winning team!”
